As the world gets ever more chaotic and overwhelming, the question of how the Church deals with mental health becomes increasingly pressing.
Many of us who are Christians can point to people who played a significant role in our journey of faith, and these are the people we are privileged to support.
We conclude our four-part series on What We Do with some comments from our guests on how they've been able to make use of their time with us outside of sessions.
Many of our guests arrive at High Meadow Retreat after navigating challenging experiences that have brought significant – and often unwanted – changes to their circumstances.
In our last letter, we looked at debriefing which provides a space for guests to tell their stories in some detail, to make sense of what they have been through and explore the impact of events that can be both recent and further back in time. It gives them the chance to feel heard and understood, and often brings new levels of clarity and peace.
Deciding on what news to include in our High Meadow Retreat updates is never straightforward for the simple reason that the best stories can’t be told.
